Lynn Fleming, double bass
A native New Yorker, Lynn Fleming graduated from the School for the Performing Arts, and graduated from the Juilliard School studying with Homer Mensch. She left NYC for South America, where she spent ten years performing with the Symphony Orchestra of Maracaibo, Venezuela (la Orquesta Sinfonica de Maracaibo), performing in the United States, Mexico and Canada, under the direction of Eduardo Rahn.
Upon returning to the United States, she joined the faculty of the Juilliard Music Advancement Program and free-lanced in the NYC and surrounding areas.
Currently, Ms. Fleming resides in Maryland and is adjunct faculty at McDaniel College, as well as Frederick Community College, where in addition to her bass studio, she also directs the FCC String Ensemble (now in its 7th year).
Recent performing experience includes the National Philharmonic (MD), Mid Atlantic Symphony (MD) as well as the National String Symphonia, where she is principal bassist.
